CNN Exposed was created after its founders noticed a growing bias in CNN's reporting, especially inside stories related to national security. Because fair and balanced reporting is essential to a healthy democracy, cnnX believes it is important to expose any bias or slant within CNN's news products.

CNN's headline stories and other major stories that appear at cnn.com are critiqued daily and rated with a Slant Index. Readers may also provide their own slant rating for any critiqued story. Results of reader input will be averaged in a second, "Readers Choice" slant index.

We hope that these reviews and slant indices will compel CNN to improve its news products by maintaining a reasonable balance throughout its news coverage.
